Tuesday 2nd April – Bike **** Two Rivers – Orwell to the Deben – sunny start clouding over.

With rain forecast to arrive around eleven we decided to make the most of the sunny start and head out on our bikes leaving home at nine wrapped up warm as our walk on the beach yesterday was a little on the chilly side but with the breeze swinging around to the SW it was nice and mild and the gloves could come off. Down the hill to the prom turning right to Landguard. Its always fairly quiet first thing just the odd dog walker, we did meet one of Mags friends, stopping for a chat. Then it was through the caravan site to Landguard Nature Reserve where we spotted a few Linnets. It was then down to the point by the River Orwell where we had a quick look for coal but its been a poor last year and only found a couple of tiny pieces. Back along the prom where Mag turns up Bent Hill and home while I carried on to the end of the prom, on to The Dip finishing up at Felixstowe Ferry also a nice spot to take a few pics:) It had clouded over with rain looking imminent I headed for home as the breeze picked up making it a headwind! Just past the Golf Club I turned right into Ferry Road leading to The Grove through the woods, town and home with only a bit of light rain. I was out nearly two hours covering 11 miles, a good start to the day. After giving blood tomorrow it looks like there is some wind coming for a few days from Thursday so fingers crossed for some windsurfing sessions:)
